Lumber/Wood is a renewable, sustainable, biodegradable resource made from trees and recovered fibers. Growing and harvesting trees provides direct employment for millions of men and women, and millions more in secondary, related employment. Working forests are good for the environment, providing clean air, clean water, wildlife habitat, recreational opportunities and carbon storage. Thanks to improved forest management, we have more trees in America today than we had 100 years ago.
Some manufacturers of fiberglass doors say they are “Green”. Fiberglass has many man made chemicals that harm the ozone and the environment.
Wood should be the only natural choice in renewable resources.
